Pre-Kindergarten

Our Pre-Kindergarten room is designed to prepare your child for the next step of their journey, Kindergarten! Once the school year starts we begin working on the skills they need in order to assure a successful transition into grade school. First, we make sure that they have their shapes, colors, letters, and numbers down pat.  We work on their birthdays, addresses, phone numbers, name writing, and sight words (yes, Kindergarten level stuff!) All of this along with grade school practices such as standing in line, attention for longer periods of time, self-serving meals, and so much more! When your child leaves our Pre-K program, you can be assured that they have been taught all of the necessary skills to do well with what is to come!

Our day consists of exploring the different learning centers in the room as well as structured activities through the Creative Curriculum. Every few weeks, a new "study" begins allowing the children to learn all the basics as well as an in-depth look at a specific topic. Studies such as recycling, trees, buildings, and clothes are just a few of the interesting subjects that we are immersed in throughout our curriculum.
